Fig. 45:1. Acridine orange staining for Anaplasma phagocytophilum of blood smear. Erythrocytes are surrounding granulocyte with a nucleus. In the granulocyte it is possible to see a morulae with tightly packed anaplasmas as well as some free anaplasmas.
