Fig. 1. Colonies aofv Clostridium tetani, strain PAT 2483/10, cultivated anaerobically on FAA plates during 1 week at 37°C. On the right hand side of the plate, Bacterial growth can be seen as very faint grayish streaks. If the plate is streaked with a plastic loop, bacteria are collected at the edges of the strek. (see arrows and c.f. Fig. 2). The bacteria originate from a recently closed case of wound infection of a sheep. Date: 2010-06-10.
